Hey everyone. Well, I've decided to enter the world of blogging. Not that my life is all that exciting to write about (cuz it's not!) but since I have sort of given up Facebook (at least for now), I thought this might be a forum where I can share some insight into my life.
So what's up with the name Damon? Great question! I could say that it's my alter ego, but not sure I want an alter ego. It's really a term of endearment. My good friends the Crows have 2 little boys, Liam (3 1/2) and Eli (almost 2). Liam says my name quite well, but Eli on the otherhand calls me Damon. It's quite cute and everytime he says it we laugh ourselves silly. It's kinda stuck on me and I like it so I thought this might be a fun way to create a blog and have a way to use my "other" name!
I'll try to be really good about posting things, photos, anecdotes, words of wisdom, etc. I'll try to keep it interesting and fun, but please don't expect much! I'm not all that exciting of a person to write about (or read about!) so I'll do my best to fluff it up as best I can to keep your interest and attention.
Let me start by sharing some great news that happened for me this week. I got a really great promotion at work! I'm quite excited about what this new chapter in my career will bring.
